The Ninth Annual Downtown Food & Wine Fest

at Lake Eola has become a signature event for Orlando. The weekend festivities promised mouth-watering dishes paired with fantastic wine and live music. The Fest more than delivered with delicious samplings from over thirty of Orlando’s premier restaurants, and wines from both domestic and international wineries. Saturday’s live entertainment schedule included the Adam Moreno Duo, Matt Shenk, Christian Cuevas, Spencer Ludwig, Johnnyswim, Gavin DeGraw and Sunday’s line up included Adam Moreno Duo, Orange Avenue, The Legendary JC’s, KC and The Sunshine Band
The evening began with tastings at Cooper’s Hawk which offered an amazing jambalaya and ricotta covered meatballs. Continuing through the street there was a variety of samplings fit for any foodie, like the paella dish from Carmel Kitchen and Wine Bar, modern Mediterranean dishes located in Winter Park. Siro, located inside the Orlando World Center Marriott offers Urban Italian Kitchen cuisine, and again won for award the Best of Show, always with an energetic staff, wonderful menu and catchy display. To finish the night off with a sweet dessert, Nothing Bundt Cakes had variety of amazing, miniature bundt cakes and winning the Sweet Treat Award. The Fest also emphasized a focus on phenomenal wines. The Foley Family Wines is anchored by premier vineyards in California and the Pacific Northwest, and had a fantastic selection. The Fest also included offerings from Kenwood, Fetzer, Cupcake Vineyards, and Hope Family Wines. The Fest brought highlights to even the most traveled foodie, and was a alluring treat to all those who came out.
