Arcadia Spider at Ultra Music Festival - Resistance Stage
Built from recycled military and industrial hardware, the giant arachnid - which entertains crowds of up to 50,000 - has blazed a trail across the globe and is currently on an 11,000 mile journey across the Pacific Ocean and continental US following January’s acclaimed performance in Bangkok.
With first contact less than a week away, a highlight of the Resistance promises to be Arcadia Spectacular’s ‘Landing Show,’ a 30-minute sensory voyage featuring breath-taking aerial performances, abductions of audience members from the crowd, mechanical mayhem and 50-foot fireballs lighting up Miami’s night sky.
The show sees the Spider come to life, harnessing a stunning range of creative elements before some of the biggest names in underground music, including Seth Troxler, Dubfire, Maceo Plex, Art Department and Joris Voorn, take to the Spider’s fabled DJ booth which is suspended 20 feet above the dancefloor.
Arcadia Spectacular fuse ground-breaking spectacle, cutting-edge technology, sculpture and engineering to create a uniquely immersive experience. The Spider, which stands 65-foot tall and takes four days to build, is constructed from jet engines, helicopter tails and industrial cranes to create a unique celebratory environment and dance arena.
