Sunset Music Festival - 2013

Sunset Music Festival, held in Tampa FL, featured world class DJs on three stages: main stage, bass stage, and trance stage. This year brought us a bigger and better show then even before, with headliners Steve Aoki, Knife Party, and David Guetta.
The main stage brought various sounds together, from the energetic performances of Krewella singing live, and the wild party that Steve Aoki throws with his crowd. It also featured many other artists including: Basomatik, Tommy Rize, Dan Winta, Doco, John Anthony, Popeska, Carnage, Danny Avila, Morgan Page, Knife Party, and David Guetta.
The bass stage roared with excitement as top DJs like Dillon Francis and Flosstradamus made the crowd go wild. This stage also featured sets performed by: Nerd Rage, Brass Knuckles, HeroBust, Pegboard Nerds, Le Castle Vania, Alvin Risk, and Crizzly.
The trance stage brought a more melodic aspect to the festival with tracks building up and down, opposed to tracks building up to a big drop, like they did at the bass stage. Here we heard music from artists Ferry Corsten, Ashley WallBridge, Shogun, and Markus Schulz.
SMF also promoted two after parties for guests to attend: Krewella at the amphitheater, and Herobust at Hogans Beach. I made my appearance in Ybor City following the festival to see Krewella perform for the second time that day. Like always, song writers/vocalists Jahan and Yasmine and producer Kris (rain man) put on an outrageous show. The venue was at full capacity, but the crowd still managed to dance uncontrollably until the lights turned on at 3am.
All in all, Sunset Music Festival, along with the rest of the day was a success. I am excited to see what is in store for us next year as the EDM world continues to grow.
