ACCLAIMED JAZZ SINGER NICOLE HENRY TO PERFORM ‘A JOYFUL SOUND!’
HOLIDAY CONCERT TO BENEFIT MIAMI CHILDREN’S INITIATIVE
Choir of Local Children from Liberty City to Join Award-Winning Singer On-stage at
Concert Supporting Miami Non-profit Organization
MIAMI (Nov. 5, 2013) – With the goal of raising funds and awareness for local non-profit Miami Children’s Initiative, acclaimed jazz vocalist and 2013 Soul Train winner Nicole Henry will perform a holiday benefit concert, “A Joyful Sound!” at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at the historic Colony Theatre, 1040 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach, Fla. 33139. The event will kick off at 6 p.m. with a pre-show cocktail party for VIP ticket holders and sponsors. Tickets are priced at $125 for VIP seating and $45 for general admission. Tickets are available at the Colony Theatre box office or via Ticketmaster.
Miami Children’s Initiative is a nonprofit organization focused on transforming Liberty City, one of South Florida’s most challenging and promising neighborhoods, into a more prosperous community.
Miami Children’s Initiative is the exclusive charitable beneficiary of “A Joyful Sound!” which will feature classic songs for the holiday season. Henry will perform accompanied by a live five-piece band and a choir of local children from Liberty City.
“It’s critical to give children what they need to become the best they can be,” said Henry, an internationally renowned vocalist who has earned three top 10 albums, toured in more than 15 countries and was recently nominated for a 2013 Centric Soul Train Award. “Miami Children’s Initiative is helping make that happen in so many ways for the children of Liberty City. It’s an honor to be involved in its mission.”
