NYE 2012 – Nervo rings in the New Year at the brand new James Royal Palm Hotel http://www.jameshotels.com/miami/) located at 1545 Collins Ave in the heart of SoBe.
Twin Austrailian sisters Liv and Mim Nervo http://www.nervomusic.com) took to the all white DJ booth amongst the throngs of VIPs and revelers at midnight. They counted down the final seconds of 2012 and performed a short set, mingled with guests for a few minutes and rejoined on stage shortly there-after for a prolonged set. Adorned in their blonde locks and mane along with their heightened sense of fashion, Liv and Mim had a great time spinning, singing and interacting with the crowd. The set was highlighted by the recent release of their project, “You’re Gonna Love Again” and beats flowed into the early hours of 2013. They know how to throw a party and get the crowd jumping. Nervo’s style is bold, sassy, with in‐your‐face beats that beckon a dance floor to its knees. Their sound is loud and fresh, which has won them respect from the most serious music lovers. If you get the opportunity to party with Nervo, grab it. You won’t be disappointed…
DJ Sinatra from ‘Crooklyn’ NY, was the party starter with his eclectic mix of electronic, hip-hop and power-pop beats. Sinatra can be found providing beats for clubs around Miami, NYC and Japan.
The event was cast ocean-side on a perfect moon lit evening at the brand new James Royal Palm with separate general admission and VIP areas. Guests were restricted to the level of area purchased which included the Breezeway, into the pool area (seated and standing), upstairs into the Florida Cookery, Rum Bar and stage side seating. All areas included a top shelf open bar from 9-1AM and great appetizers served in the Flordia Cookery. Along with the open bar, champagne flowed all night. The staff was very attentive and the hotel is amazing.
The venue restricted us from bringing in our pro cameras to the NYE event. We got a few with my pocket camera. The rest photos below were taken by us at Ultra Music Festival and during WMC last March. Hopefully they will be back in town for this years WMC and Ultra Music fest. We'll be there.
