BMF & iHeart Radio - Ultra 2016
The 10th Anniversary of The Music Lounge by BMF + iHeart Media at the W South Beach Hotel & Residences, sponsored by 7UP, V-Moda, Jägermeister, Heineken, and Swatch was the VIP hot spot last week, as over a dozen of the world’s top DJs were spotted and performed there for three days straight (from March 17-19). If you didn’t get to join in on all the beats and fun, I wanted to provide you with a detailed three-day recap along with images from WorldRedEye.com below:
Day 1, Thursday, March 17:
Today kicked off the three-day celebration of the 10th Anniversary of The Music Lounge by BMF + iHeart Media at the W South Beach Hotel & Residences. Sightings included: Martin Garrix spotted in the Crave/7up lounge and was in great spirits, enjoying Miami, as he couldn't have been more relaxed and friendly with the guests and crowds, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano enjoyed libations of Jägermeister cocktails as they waited their turn on the turn tables, Above & Beyond, Quintino and R3hab trying on Swatch watches and Jeremy Shockey who said he couldn’t go home without a pair of V-Moda headphones. Cash Cash also stopped by the V-Moda lounge where they tried on headphones, each picking a different color.
Presented by DJ Hollywood, DJs honored at the iHeart Remix Awards today included James Hype and Audien who were recognized for their innovative, experimental beats. Blasterjaxx made a surprise appearance and were spotted drinking Heineken as they hung out with Martin Garixx at the 7UP lounge. Guests danced to electric beats bySteve Aoki, Klingande, Cash Cash and Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, to name a very few.
Day 2, Friday, March 18:
The biggest DJs in the world including Afroack and Steve Angello celebrated day 2 of the 10th Anniversary of The Music Music Lounge by BMF + iHeart Media at the W South Beach Hotel & Residences today. Surrounded by their biggest fans including Rich Kids of Beverly Hills star E.J Johnson in the most exclusive and intimate setting to be found, world famous DJ Afrojack was spotted revealing a huge secret during his interview with iHeart Radio in the Crave/ 7UP Lounge. The House DJ spilled that he had a secret playlist of Trance music he'd like to play because no one would expect it from him and that it would be his choice out of all other genres he wished to play. Steve Angelo of Swedish House Mafia fame was seen presenting the iHeart Radio 2016 Remix Award to Paul Damixie, who remixed Adele's hit single Hello. Kaskade joined the two as they cheered over bottles of Heineken as Damaxie grinned from ear to ear. Hardwell and Oliver Heldens were spotted at the V-Moda lounge talking very animatedly. Heldens was on his way out of the billboard lounge with his new headphones when he ran into one of his "favorite DJs" Hardwell as they discussed their upcoming gigs with Miami's own DJ Irie who was rocking matching Swatch watches with good friend Football playerReggie Bush. Disclosure appearing determined to win a ping pong battle as they battled another team on the Swatch branded Ping-Pong table. Canadian duo Sultan and Shepard took home colorful and floral Swatch watches and tried on the brands new eyewear line commenting that they suit the whole Miami vibe. Norwegian DJ MOTI unable to contain his excitement upon receiving a personalized and engraved bottle off Jägermeister saying he wasn't sure if he'd drink it or mount it a a trophy. He caught up with Afrojack for 7UP Jager cocktails on the beach following his performance. Other notables on site included Magic Johnson’s son, and Rich Kids of Beverly Hills star EJ Johnson who interacted with fans and took expected selfies in the crowd. Feenixpawl, Junior Sanchez, Laidback Luke, MK, Prince Fox and Armin van Buuren said his daughter still doesn't understand what he's doing while watching him DJ and asks if he's OK. We bet all his fans would beg to differ!
Day 3, Saturday, March 19:
Nervo was spotted eagerly holding the cake for the 10 year anniversary of The Music Lounge by BMF + iHeart Media. She was then seen taking photos with Martin Danielle of"CLMD" in the Billboard Lounge.
International DJ, Zen Freeman stopped by the Swatch Lounge and left with a swanky Golden watch. Blasterjaxx was seen having a ball today playing ping pong with another guest in the lounge. Dance music superstar Martin Garrix, who just premiered on Friday, 3/18 his new video withCrave and 7UP, "Music Lifts You Up,” was overheard talking about the video today, saying “I incorporated deaf people into the video because music is much more than just sound.
