BUTCHER BLOCK GRILL OPENS
Boca Raton, FL (August 26, 2013)—The latest addition to the upgrades and expansion of The Fountains Center - Butcher Block Grill – is now open. The restaurant is located at 7000 West Camino Real, just west of the intersection of Powerline Road and West Camino Real in Boca Raton.
Butcher Block Grill, a unique steak and seafood concept, is the first steakhouse in Boca Raton to utilize local, all-natural ingredients. All of the restaurant’s meat and poultry is antibiotic- and hormone-free, and humanely raised on a vegetarian diet. The restaurant’s seafood is wild-caught and locally sourced, and its produce is grown pesticide-free on Florida farms.
Managing Partner Mike Zikri and Executive Chef Joshua Hedquist, formerly of The Max Group, Big Time Restaurant Group and Todd English’s De Campo Oesteria, conceived the menu. “Butcher Block Grill works with 14 South Florida farms in season, including Farmer Jay’s Organics, Swank Specialty Produce, Heritage Hen Farms, Green Cay, Farmhouse Tomatoes, Piero Farms, and Palmetto Creek,” said Hedquist. “We proudly support local producers and provide our guests with the freshest, all-natural products in the region.”
Zikri also developed the contemporary layout of the 145-seat, 4,000-square-foot restaurant, which features a chic interior dining room that opens up onto a covered outdoor patio overlooking the Fountain Center’s lovely, piazza-style fountains.
“We’ve combined an all-natural steakhouse with Mediterranean flavors and an elegant, inviting atmosphere that heightens the senses and creates a singularly unique dining experience,” says Zikri. “This totally new trend is the first of its kind in Boca Raton and South Florida.”
Butcher Block Grill is open for lunch Sunday-Saturday from 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., and for dinner Sunday-Thursday from 5-10 p.m. and Friday-Saturday from 5-11:00 p.m.
