Outside poker, cheerleading is one of the most popular sideshow-turned-sport in the country right now. Competition is fierce and the combatants always come in ready to give the fans a show. Its popularity even inspired mainstream stints in film and music avenues. Here in the US, cheerleading meets - especially the really big ones - are followed closely by the national media, sometimes even by the sports reporting giant ESPN.
